Inspired by the nostalgic scent of Hyde Park's many bookstores and libraries, with notes of leather, patchouli, and musk.

Today, Hyde Park is synonymous with the University of Chicago. But at its founding in 1853, the area was just 300 acres of land acquired by a young lawyer named Paul Cornell. A new transplant to the area, Cornell bought the stretch of land along the lake between present-day 51st and 55th streets. He chose to name the area after the renowned Hyde Park in London to promote its appeal as a residential neighborhood. The neighborhood is currently populated by students, academics, locals, and independent bookstores.
